Rates Info displays publicly available information from public sources. All data is for information only and is not financial advice. We are independent and are not affiliated with any government, central bank, bank, exchange or lottery organisation.
How data reaches the app
Instead of contacting dozens of providers directly from your phone, the app asks our own data service, running on Cloudflare, for ready-to-use data. The service collects and normalises information from public sources, keeps a short-lived cache for speed, and falls back to alternative sources if a provider is unavailable. This keeps the app fast and reduces the data your device needs to download.

Update frequency
Data is refreshed whenever you open or refresh the app and when a screen is shown, subject to the update schedule of each provider. Some values change once a day, others several times a day. The app stores the last data on your device, so if you are offline you may see older data; the time of the last update is shown where available.
Limits of the data
- Data can be delayed, rounded, incomplete or temporarily wrong because of source errors, outages or timing differences.
- Calculator outputs are estimates based on the displayed values and do not include fees, taxes or spreads.
- Reference rates are not tradable prices. Gold, currency and fuel prices at a shop or station will usually differ.
- Always check the official source before making a financial decision or claiming a prize.
